Dot Keet es investigadora asociada del programa Regionalismos Alternativos de TNI y del Alternative Information and Development Center (AIDC), con sede en Ciudad del Cabo, Sudáfrica. Desde esta base, participa activamente en el Grupo sudafricano de Estrategia sobre Comercio (TSG) y de la Red de Solidaridad de los Pueblos Sudafricanos (SAPSN), coordinadora clave del Foro Social de Sudáfrica (SASF), así como en la Red Africana sobre Comercio (ATN) y la red internacional Our World is Not for Sale (OWINFS). Keet ha sido profesora universitaria en varios países africanos (Sudáfrica, Tanzania, Zambia, Angola y Mozambique), donde ha trabajado muy de cerca con sus respectivos movimientos de liberación y, posteriormente, con sus gobiernos independientes. Ha colaborado asimismo como escritora e investigadora del Consejo de Coordinación Sindical de África Austral.
