International Seminar: Participatory Democracy. Political Actors and Social Movements
Barcelona, 17-18 June 2005

On 17-18 June, the provincial government of Barcelona, in co-operation with TNI New Politics Project, will organise an international seminar on "Participatory Democracy, Political Actors and Social Movements". The seminar is conceived as an annual summit of researchers, activists and government officials, aimed at becoming a permanent space for in-depth analysis and exchange of ideas around the theme of participatory and progressive governance. The seminar is being organised within the work programme of the International Observatory on Participatory Democracy (IOPD), of which both TNI and the government of Barcelona are members.

La intención es crear un espacio permanente de reflexión, analísis e intercambio de ideas en torno al tema de la gobernabilidad progresista y participativa. El seminario está siendo organizado en el contexto del programa de trabajo del Observatorio Internacional de la Democracia Participativa (OIDP), del cual tanto TNi como el gobierno de Barcelona son miembros.
