|
Seminar People-centred Water Management is Possible! The full report is available in PDF. The seminar explored the lessons that can be learned from participatory models of public water delivery in Brazil and elsewhere as well as the hurdles faced by communities struggling to develop similar models. We discussed how to support the development of public water alternatives, for instance by boosting international solidarity links such as the Public-Public Partnerhips in place between utilities in South Africa and Brazil. The seminar was co-organised by the Transnational Institute with ASSEMAE (Brazil), NCAP (Ghana), Public Services International, REDES (Uruguay), Corporate Europe Observatory, Friends of the Earth International, Council of Canadians, Public Citizen (US), the Water Vigilance Network (Philippines), the World Development Movement (UK), Philipp Terhorst and others. |
