Anti-War Movements Strategy Session

The fourth assembly will continue the process of deepening and expanding the global anti-war movement. High on the agenda will be the report on the Beirut Assembly in September and the initiatives proposed to the movements. Salient issues will be the emerging differences in opinion on he question if we demand a direct and unconditional withdrawal of the US from Iraq, or if the US now that it is there holds responsibility for making sure that the country will not enter into a civil war. Finally, there will be special attention for the Tsunami and it's possible consequences for stability and militarisation in the region.

    The second session will be an open strategy session of the NO-Foreign Military Bases network. On the agenda are among other things the web-site to be launched, finding a compromise on a Global Day of Action, planning a International Conference on the subject later 2005, and priorities for the network program.
