Warning shots were already fired in Honduras on June 23rd ahead of the violent coup – with the assassination attempt on the life of Fabio Evelio Ochoa Hernández, a leader of the campaign against Agrotoxics and the corporation Nemagon.
Warning shots were already fired in Honduras on June 23rd ahead of the violent coup – with the assassination attempt on the life of Fabio Evelio Ochoa Hernández, a leader of the campaign against Agrotoxics and the corporation Nemagon. Until now Fabio remains in a very serious condition.

Fabio Evelio Ochoa Hernández, from the organisation Coordinadora de Organizaciones Populares del Aguan (COPA), has carried the voices of protest from his community and from all those who have suffered the serious effects of agrotoxics and has brought their struggle throughout Central America and internationally – including to the Permanent Peoples Tribunal (PPT) held in Lima (May 2008) to the PPT Hearing organized during the Social Forum of the Americas in Guatamala (October 2008).
