The Andean Commission of Jurists provides information and analysis on the functioning of democratic institutions in the Andean countries (Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela). The website contains extensive information on what's going on in Andean countries with regard to human rights, democracy, women's rights, international systems for the protection of human rights, constitutional justice, public ombudsmen's offices, public services, indigenous communities, drug control policies and other topics.

The Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) promotes human rights, democracy and social and economic justice in Latin America and the Caribbean. WOLA facilitates dialogue between governmental and non-governmental actors, monitors the impact of policies and programs of government and international organisations, and promotes alternatives through reporting, education, training and advocacy. WOLA has published some excellent reports on human rights and the drug issue in the Andean region.
