European Social Forum 1
European Social Forum 1 Introduction After four intensive days of seminars, conferences and many spontaneous meetings at the European Social Forum in Firenze, Italy, we can be sure that this is not an empty phrase. The first ESF, which is part of the World Social Forum process and represented the most significant coming together of movements for socio-economic justice in Europe, was a success. Up to 60.000 people from all over Europe attended the ESF as where 18.000 were expected. Another 1 million people joined the following Anti-War-Demonstration on Saturday, 9 November 2002. Another Europe is possible and it started in Firenze.
