Korean delegation leads week of protest against EU Free Trade Agreement
A 34-strong delegation from Korea will lead a series of protests in Brussels from 17-21 September, timed to coincide with the third round of negotiations for the EU-Korea Free Trade Agreement.
The delegation are members of the Korean Alliance against US/EU-Korea FTA (KoA), an umbrella group of over 300 organisations including trade unions, farmers’ associations, student and womens’ groups. The key organisations involved in the delegation include the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, the Korean Peasants’ League, and the Korean Democratic Labor Party.
Confirmed activities include:
· 11:00-13:30, Monday 17th. Opening rally

· 17.00 - 21.00, Tuesday 18th. International People’s Workshop on FTAs

· 08:00-11:00, Wednesday 19th. Rally and press conference

· 12:00-14:00, Friday 21st. Closing rally
