Die Macht der globalen Konzerne in transparente Bahnen zu leiten, ihre Strategien zu regulieren und Straftaten zu ahnden, darum ging es gestern im Europaparlament in Brüssel.
"Es sei ein langer Weg, bis Vergehen transnationaler Konzerne zur Anklage gebracht werden können, sagt Brid Brennan. Die Konferenz in Brüssel habe das Ziel wieder etwas in Sichtweite gerückt. »Wir haben konkrete Vorschläge für einen Internationalen Völkervertrag diskutiert«, erklärt die gebürtige Irin, die für das Transnational Institute in Amsterdam tätig ist, »und wir hoffen, dass wir einige Europa-Abgeordnete erreicht haben und ihre Unterstützung bekommen."
