Energy and Climate Building democratic and just responses to the climate crisis
The climate crisis is inseparable from deepening inequality, corporate power and extractivism. Across the world, communities are confronting the destructive impacts of fossil fuel dependency, resource extraction, privatisation and green colonialism, while governments continue to promote market-led solutions that fail to address the structural causes of ecological breakdown.
TNI’s Energy and Climate work supports movements, trade unions, researchers and policy-makers advancing democratic, public and justice-centred alternatives. We work alongside allies across the Global South and North to expose false solutions, challenge corporate capture and strengthen pathways towards energy democracy and a just transition.
