TNI co-organises this workshop as a part of a series of activities around 40th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors Asian Development Bank(ADB), (4 to 7 May 2007, Kyoto, Japan) In this workshop, The Japanese edition of Reclaiming Public Water will be launched. Other co-organizers are Jubilee South/Asia-Pacific Movement on Debt and Development (APMDD), Public Services International (PSI), NGO Forum on ADB, Freedom from Debt Coalition (FDC), Transnational Institute (TNI), Corporate Europe Observatory (CEO) and AM Net
Japanese civil society groups and unions have formed the Organising Committee of Peoples’ Forum on ADB in Kyoto and it will organise two days forum; People’s Forum on Asian Development Bank. Many different self-organized workshops will be held on 6th and the main symposium will be on 5^th Time table 3rd May; People’s Forum on ADB, Kyoto – NGOs Strategy Meeting Organised by: NGO Forum on ADB / Organising Committee of Peoples’ Forum on ADB in Kyoto 4th May; Reclaiming Public Water network meeting 5th May; TNI/CEO together with Japanese unions call a meeting aiming to share information in search of possibility to develop Public-Public Partnerships (PuPs) in Asian region as alternative to water privatisation.
