This webinar will reflect on some of the thought-provoking insights in a paper by Ilyas Nagdee and Azfar Shafi, Recovering Anti-racism, which argued that neoliberalism, individualism and professionalisation of 'race relations' has up to now fragmented anti-racist movements and undermined solidarity. What can we learn from the struggles and successes of movements like Black Lives Matter as well as the obstacles they continue to face to deliver real change? How do we rebuild solidarity and internationalism in anti-racist struggles? How can we  integrate anti-racism within a broad project for emancipation against the twin ills of capitalism and imperialism?

• Juliana Borges, Author of "Encarceramento em massa” (Mass Incarceration) and “Prisões: espelhos de nós" (Prisons: Mirrors of us) and columnist of Claudia Magazine, Brazil.
• Miriyam Aouragh, Anthropologist, internet researcher, anti-racist campaigner, Morocco/Netherlands
• Khury Petersen-Smith, activist and researcher at Institute for Policy Studies who focuses on Black liberation, Palestine solidarity, and ending US empire.
