Luca Hopman is a junior lecturer in Sociology at the University of Amsterdam. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology at the University of Amsterdam and a master’s degree in Political and Economic Sociology at the University of Cambridge. Luca’s research themes are centered around urban sociology, social policy and inequality, and changing notions of citizenship. Luca collaborates with the Transnational Institute within the Public Alternatives Programme, focusing on democratic, accountable and effective public services. Furthermore, Luca has been involved in several research projects on climate change within European cities.
