Nina Brenjo joined TNI as communications manager in 2009. She regularly scans the global coverage of issues relevant to TNI’s work and is primarily responsible for media outreach and the promotion of TNI books.
Prior to this, she worked for AlertNet, Reuters Foundation’s humanitarian news service. She coordinated the communications and research part of the ‘AlertNet for Journalists’ project and she was the network coordinator for 400+ emergency aid organisations. Nina also blogged about the most interesting highlights of humanitarian emergencies in the worldwide media.
During the 1992-95 war in Bosnia & Herzegovina, she worked with humanitarian aid agencies Médecins Sans Frontières and Première Urgence. One of the roles involved the coordination of humanitarian aid distribution in central Bosnia.
Nina has a Masters degree in International Relations, where she specialised on the subject of humanitarian intervention.
