Praful Bidwai, regarded by many as one of the best investigative journalists South Asia has produced, died tragically in Amsterdam on 23 June 2015. The mural celebrates human rights and global justice and serves in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the deaths of Chilean Ambassador Orlando Letelier (the artists father) and co-worker Ronni Karpen Moffitt who were killed in Washington, DC on September 21, 1976. Forty years after the car bombing that took their lives, the pursuit of justice for Orlando, Ronni and other victims of the Pinochet regimes continues.
