Achin Vanaik (India) TNI Fellow and Retired Professor of International Relations and Global Politics from the University of Delhi, Achin is an active member of the Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament and Peace (India). He has (co)authored or (co) edited 20 books ranging from studies of India's political economy, issues concerning religion, communalism and secularism as well as international contemporary politics and nuclear disarmament.
He was the general editor of the four-volume set brought out in 2013 by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) on political thought, democracy, engagement with the world and the State in India. His 2015 book was on India's nuclear trajectory since the 1998 text explosions; and Verso, London has just released in March this year his latest book on "The Rise of Hindu Authoritarianism: Secular Claims, Communal Realities".
