Hannah Twomey

Hannah Twomey is honored to be a part of the struggle for justice working alongside social movements and civil society organizations. As part of TNI’s Myanmar team, she brings analysis and support on natural resource issues, such as land access and control as well as land restitution for people displaced, in the rapidly changing political and economic context. Hannah’s educational background in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies (MSc, University of Oxford), and Development Studies(BA, Brown University), has provided her with an understanding of resource governance and access, right to food, displacement and dispossession, identity politics and political conflict, downward accountability, as well as the importance of ensuring marginalized peoples have decision-making power.
