Laura Flanders is the host and executive producer of The Laura Flanders Show, a nationally-syndicated TV and radio program that reports on real-life models of shifting power in the arts, economics and governance around the US and the world.

She is a contributing writer to the Nation Magazine, covering social movement organizing and "next system" economics. She is the author of several books and the recipient of a 2020 Cultural Freedom Fellowship from the Lannan Foundation for her independent reporting and advocacy for public media. 

Laura is a trustee of The Democracy Collaborative and an Associate Fellow of the Institute for Policy Studies. In 2019, she was awarded an Izzy Award for excellence in independent journalism, and the Pat Mitchell Lifetime Achievement Award from the Women's Media Center for advancing women’s and girls’ visibility in media. Flanders’ forward-looking show airs on hundreds of PBS stations around the US every week and streams anywhere, anytime on YouTube.
