For more than a decade, TNI has worked closely with local researchers, policy makers, and social movements on various socioeconomic issues in Colombia, ranging from conflict and peace, agrarian and environmental justice, corporate power, drug policy and development, to trade and investment issues. Following decades of armed conflict, a peace process with FARC-EP guerrilla was recently concluded in Colombia, serving as both a challenge and opportunity for the future of territorial peace, justice and democracy in the country. With this regard, TNI’s work in Colombia relies on the institute’s cross-cutting expertise in trade policy, agrarian and environmental justice, and drug policy.
