This joint online webinar by Makan & TNI provides an overview of Adam Hanieh’s article, “Framing Palestine: Israel, the Gulf states, and American power in the Middle East”, featured as a part of TNI’s Palestine Liberation Series. This session will:

  • Present an alternative approach to understanding Palestine that is framed by the wider region and the Middle East’s central place in our fossil fuel-centred world.
  • Argues that the unstinting support for Israel cannot be comprehended outside of this framework
  • Situate the fast-evolving relationships between the Gulf, Israel, and the US as essential to understanding the current moment

The session will include a 45 minute talk and a short Q&A. It will take place on Wednesday 11th February, 6.00pm London time.
