Any discussion on policy frameworks that protect the rights to seed, land and food must necessarily acknowledge the role of small-scale  women seed guardians.  Governments must prioritise these and similar initiatives to ensure continued biodiversity and alternatives to corporate-controlled seeds from agribusiness conglomerates.

Movements must recognize that some of the best allies are not necessarily people who see themselves as political actors.  All this begins with at first being aware that such people exist, which this exhibition helps to achieve. I am glad that the exhibition is still showing, and will show at many other locations worldwide.

I am myself inspired to become a seed guardian too, and who knows, if you meet me next time at  a showing of this exhibition, I might just hand you a handful of iphwa seeds.
