Gisela Dütting


Gisela Dütting is an anthropologist by training (fieldwork in Swaziland and Algeria/Niger border area) and specialized in social movements, gender and economic justice. Between 1991 and 1998, she was the Director of the Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights. She has more than 25 years of experience in program management and policy development, deployed on long-term assignments (Zimbabwe 4 years) and shorter missions (1 year or less) for trade unions, public interest networks and women’s organisations in over 35 countries. Since 2017, she is seconded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Gender and Livelihood consultant to UN Women.
