Gisela Dütting Associate
Gisela Duetting is an anthropologist by training and specialized in social movements, gender and economic justice. She has more than 25 years of experience deployed on long-and short-term assignments for trade unions, public interest networks, social movements and women’s organisations in over 35 countries.
Between 1991 and 1998, she was the Director of the Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights, campaigning internationally with 1600 groups. From 2017-2020, she was the Senior Specialist on Gender and Livelihood to UN Women, in the department of Women, Peace & Security and Humanitarian Action. Currently, she is seconded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Gender expert to the EU. Gisela was a member of the Board of Directors (treasurer) and Supervisory Board (chairperson) of TNI, between 2011 and 2019.
