Manuel Pérez-Rocha is an Associate Fellow of the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) in Washington and works for its Global Economy Project. Manuel is a regular contributor to TNI's Trade and Investment and Corporate Power work.

Manuel has worked for many years with the Mexican Action Network of Free Trade (RMALC) fighting free trade and investment agreements, from NAFTA to the MAI the FTAA and the Mexico European Union FTA. For more than a decade, he has focused on the intersection of corporate rights (ISDS), extractive industries, and the defense of human rights. He has sat on the Advisory Board of the Dutch Fair and Green Alliance (FGG). He writes regularly for the Mexican progressive newspaper La Jornada.
