The Digital Fortresses Project is hosting a webinar series where we hope to learn from and with researchers and activists working on understanding and exposing digital infrastructures that underpin and uphold imperialist/capitalist systems across different sectors and geographies, and how we can collectively resist them. These sessions aim to zoom out and examine 'the big picture', whilst learning from local and specific issues and struggles. In doing so, we hope to map and explore the interconnected digital infrastructures of coercion, brainstorm its implications in terms of strategies and resistance, and build and strengthen connections with comrades across different geographies.This series aims to shed specific light on the importance of an infrastructural analysis - with each session not only bringing together people working on different issues and through different mediums but also making space for specific contributions on the importance of infrastructure. Our hope is that each session will allow for participants to learn together with/from comrades -researchers, organisers, artists, journalists, worker collectives, technologists – whilst collectively mapping chokepoints in and building strategies of resistance to these digital infrastructures.The 3-part webinar series will take place online weekly from 2nd September - 16th September at 7PM (CEST).
